The quest to produce perception altering art is a common occurrence in the world of the surrealist movement. We wouldn’t promise such a thing through this series of Laurent Monnet alone…but we are certain it has its place and can provide a relevant an impacting contribution.
The France based illustrator and graphic designer, has obvious major influences from the classic surrealist painters, Dali, Magritte, etc, as well as more modern surreal digital artists, such as Richard Roberts and Alexander Otto. Inspired by the realm of ‘the dream’ and happy to confront or explore the more controversial and complex issues of the human psyche, the abstract painter, come digital dreamer, is forming creatively insightful pieces, precise, yet freeing in form.
